A Family Adventure in Nature
Our stay was filled with serene horseback rides across stunning desert landscapes, which left my kids in awe. The communal dining fostered great conversations and the food was top-notch!
The access road can be tricky to navigate, so be cautious upon arrival. Additionally, I felt some areas could use a bit of TLC for upkeep.

The King Room provided unmatched comfort with incredibly clean beds, contributing to a restful stay. The bathrooms were spotless, making for a pleasant experience overall.
Check-in was delayed, leaving me waiting for a while before anyone showed up. The rooms had a bit of that "in their own juice" situation, which could use a touch-up. A minor annoyance was a bit of sand found in the bed, which wasn't ideal.

Family with children adventure
Our family had a great time! One of the chefs went out of his way to whip up some kid-friendly meals, which really kept my boys happy during dinner. And can I just say, those horseback rides through the desert were amazing, the boys couldn’t stop talking about it!
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but honestly, it was worth every penny.

Just had an amazing time with friends! We enjoyed board games and cold drinks in the Main Lodge, and time in the heated pool and hot tub. The place has such a welcoming vibe, perfect for families. Don't miss the chance to ride the same trails as the first guests from nearly 100 years ago!
One downside was that some areas felt dated, and a little maintenance would help improve the experience.

A charming escape with stunning views, surrounded by beautiful old trees and majestic mountains. Meals were exceptional, with options appealing to both adults and children, making communal dining enjoyable. The horseback ride through the picturesque desert landscape was truly memorable, and engaging activities like archery kept my kids entertained. However, access via the dirt road was tricky, and I wish I had more options for kid-friendly activities beyond horseback riding.
